For the past three years, the Mathurin Family Foundation has partnered with the Haitian Association of Indiana and Kroger to host an annual turkey and food giveaway in Indianapolis. This initiative provides hundreds of local families with turkeys and essential food items such as rice, beans, plantains, and fresh vegetables ahead of Thanksgiving.

Each year, the event has served the broader Indianapolis community, including the city’s growing Haitian population on the east side, helping ensure that families facing food insecurity can come together and enjoy the holiday with dignity. Through this continued commitment, the foundation and its partners reinforce the importance of community support, cultural connection, and giving back during a time centered on gratitude and togetherness.
